Health care workers are facing increased abuse in the hospital setting, making a recent move by the IWK Health Centre to buy bulletproof vests very welcome, says the head of the Nova Scotia Nurses Union.

Miami Valley Hospital is preparing to relocate six clinics from its campus on Wyoming Street to a 19,000-square-foot building on South Ludlow Street.
The hospital's primary care medicine clinic and other internal medicine-related clinics are scheduled to open Monday at 725 S. Ludlow St. The hospital has signed a 15-year lease for the Ludlow Street building, formerly the home of MedWork Occupational Health care.
MedWork relocated to the former Delphi space on Cincinnati Street earlier this year.

The former health minister was admitted to the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre yesterday and was expected to undergo a minor procedure.

THE site of Moreton's new hospital has been announced - it will be built next to Fosseway Garden Centre on the A429 Stow Road.
The National Health Service, in Gloucestershire, has announced the "health and social care campus" will be built on the site that was among three it was considering in partnership with local general practitioners.
